A 33-year-old man from Ha-Muraga Thanani village outside Thohoyandou has disappeared after going to bed, with police and community members searching for answers. Mashudu Mugwedi was last seen on the night of Monday, 6 April when he went to sleep at his home. By the following morning, he was gone.
Police say there are no clear clues about what happened. Even the clothes he was wearing at the time are unknown, adding to the uncertainty around the case. Search efforts by police and residents in and around the village have not led to any breakthroughs.
Authorities have now appealed to the public for help in locating Mugwedi. Anyone with information is urged to contact the investigating officer, Sergeant Mpho Gethe, on 082 469 2651. Information can also be shared through Crime Stop on 08600 10111, at any police station, or via the MySAPSApp.
