Search intensifies for missing toddler in Sedawa village
Police in Limpopo have intensified the search for a toddler who went missing in Sedawa village near Hoedspruit more than a week ago. Kahlodi Mokibelo, aged one year and nine months, was last seen on Friday, 2 April.
He was reported missing at about 4pm after his mother was told by one of her children that they had been playing with him but could no longer find him. His mother and family members immediately searched around the village, but could not locate him.
Community members later joined the effort, combing nearby areas and searching a river close to the village. The child has still not been found.
Police in Hoedspruit, under the Mopani District, launched a search and investigation after the report was made. Authorities say the operation has now been intensified, with police working alongside other stakeholders to try to locate the child.
The search remains ongoing.
Police have urged anyone with information that may help find Kahlodi to come forward.
